Why your knowledge means nothing if you don’t apply it to your life?

an opportunity is worth nothing until you make something of it

While being on this journey of wanting to grow I noticed one important detail. While I’m filling numbers of journal pages, my knowledge grows. But a few days ago I skimmed through my old journal and realized how many lessons got lost. By never reviewing what I had written, I had forgotten to apply these lessons to my life. Often my mind is overwhelmed with the overflow of thoughts — good and bad. What helps best is writing all of it down, to clear my mind. Hereby I risk valuable information getting lost in the midst of intense internal conversations.

Over time I learned, that I’m a visual and kinaesthetic learner. I need to read something, to fully grasp it’s meaning and writing it down is crucial for me.

How can you expect things to change, if you don’t change your approach?

Life is about making mistakes. It’s one of the fastest and most effective ways to learn. This implies, that we need to take that risk of taking steps in some wrong directions. We’ll never enjoy the view on top of a hill, if we don’t take that climb first. I believe it’s will always be more useful to scratch something of your list that wasn’t for you, than keep wondering <<what if>>

Are you applying your own knowledge on your life yet?

When we are told how we could change our life for the better we often know that intuitively already. Our Ego loves to respond with <<I know?!>> but we shouldn’t preach what we don’t practice. Our credibility is lost, if we don’t apply our own lessons to our life. Deep down we have all the answers we are looking for. Our soul knows. She knows, because we’ve been equipped with all the tools to live a peaceful and fulfilled life. Over time we just got so used to not living true to ourselves, that we feel like, we lost our path. But we never do. It’s always there ready to be resurfaced and re-explored. You are never truly lost. You carry all the answers inside you.

We can be the most intelligent person on Earth, but if that doesn’t show in our daily life when nobody is watching, all these lessons are worth nothing.

We all move at our own pace and that’s perfectly fine. We can’t understand and apply everything right away. But it’s crucial to take that first step. If you want more out of life, it’s inevitable to start moving.

Activeness is fear’s worst enemy.

Nobody is not scared. Everyone successful has been scared of the greatness they were approaching, but they were brave enough to jump. Make it your passion to run after your own happiness. You are worthy. You earn that self-respect of gifting yourself a life you love.
