make every day worth reliving

you are going to die.

the sooner you realise this – and I mean truly inhale the pain of it – you are going to live your days with more passion. you are going to notice how bright the sun is shining, how blue the sky is. you are going to be grateful for seeing a butterfly dance.

every morning you get up and have the chance to make it the best day of your life. read that again. this day will never be replayed. in life there is no rewind button. and there is no chance you will get out alive, and you never know when that moment will step in. in a flash it could all be over. I don’t want to depress you. I want to address you and make sure you realise this is serious. don’t take life so serious. put it into perspective. either you waste valuable second, minutes, hours with whining, being angry, dwelling on the past or you love deep, laugh hard and make your day worth reliving. how bad is that problem gonna be in 5 years? will you laugh about it? so why aren’t you just laughing about it right now?

the perspective matters!! (la princess)

feeling your emotions and truly accepting and embracing them is another story. don’t push away thoughts that are important to you, because you think crying would ruin your day. the other day I came across an immensely valuable quote that really stuck with me: let it hurt. then let it go. to truly, fully let go of something, going through the pain first, is an evident step.

enjoy the beautiful gift of waking up every morning. enjoy your health now. every single second counts. do that thing, whatever it is – not school/uni work – but the thing you’ve been wanting to do for ages, that thing that you know will make your heart pound louder and that thing that will let your smile reach your eyes. just do it, if you know it will make you happy, because tomorrow you might not have the chance anymore. btw social media kills. it kills that spark inside of you. the adrenaline. our brain wants to scroll endlessly and you don’t notice how much time you are wasting. valuable seconds. put the phone down, no matter the weather and get out.

get out into the world and be grateful for life. you are going to die.
